In honor of the Horse-Shoe trail 80th Anniversary there were a few hikes yesterday and will be several different hikes occurring in November. An eastern hike in Montgomery County and a western hike in Dauphin County took place yesterday afternoon. Sunday November 1, 2015 will be the Lancaster County celebratory hike. It will be a 5 mile hike starting at 1:30pm. This hike will be hilly, but have great views from Eagle Rock. The hike will also go through Boy Scout’s Camp Mack up to Pretzel Hut on Route 501. Ice cream will be available at Pretzel Hut then the hike will continue back to the cars. Here are directions: Take Route 322 to Pumping Station Road west of Furnace Hills / Middle Creek Waterfowl Reserve. Park at State Game Lands No. 156 parking area.
